Winner of the New Signature Award at the 2022 Ceramics Southern Africa National Exhibition, Fezile Ntshofu is a local ceramicist who has worked in the industry for over 20 years. He has worked primarily as a surface decoration painter at Potterswork Studio in Cape Town and helped forge the distinctive painting style for which the range is renowned. In the last few years, Fezile has moved into exploring new forms in clay. Drawing inspiration from traditional elements of Xhosa culture, he continues to combine his painting technique with the medium of clay allowing his work to be more creative and unique.
